These vessels are created as a result of my need to always challenge myself
to push my abilities in new directions. I began thinking that I wanted to see if I could have an influence
on the surfaces I was achieving in my Saggar work. I began playing with how much of the piece would be affected by the solutions and materials I use in my Saggars and how much of the piece could remain the original surface. I am excited about the result and eager to continue to explore this technique.
These pieces, as all sagger and raku is, are decorative and not food safe or water tight.
